About me
My name is Jessica Lauren, and I'm the creator behind the art at J Lauren Art Studio. My passion for drawing began in my high school art class, and I continued pursuing new techniques to grow in realism in the following years. In 2022, I began accepting pet portrait commissions to hone my skills further, and I started drawing wildlife portraits in 2023. I love conveying depth, detail, and emotional connection through my animal portraits.
My faith is the foundation of my art, and I love creating alongside my Creator. When I feel overwhelmed or unsure how to attain the level of detail I desire in my art, I turn to God, and He encourages me to simply draw the next thing. His guidance assures me that He is with me and will see each piece of art through to completion.
No artwork can ever be perfect, and aiming for perfection is not the point; for me, it is about the journey of continual growth and spending each day of that journey with Him.
