Unbreakable Bond
Unbreakable Bond has a special meaning that God revealed to me when I was halfway through drawing it.
I saw the male lion as Jesus and the lioness as me. He loves me unconditionally and wants me to be close to Him always. He is the steady rock, unmoving and unshakable. I am the one who strays sometimes when distractions get the best of me.
The lioness appears to have stepped toward the lion to close the gap between them and show her affection for Him by pressing her forehead against His. And I feel that this is what I, as a believer, am doing now. I am coming home, falling back in love with my Saviour, expressing gratitude for His grace, and desiring a genuine, unbreakable relationship with Him again after straying too many times.
I had never stopped loving or believing in Him. But I was not making Him my priority each day. Now my eyes are open, and I am committed to pursuing Him from now on.
I did not see the significance of this picture when I began the drawing, but now I cannot unsee how it represents my renewed love for Jesus and how wild, sweet, and constant His love is for me.
This 11x14" graphite drawing on paper took 42 hours and was completed in April 2024.
The original drawing does not come matted or framed.
